SUPER GYL CAMP

Had so much fun during the camp.

totally the best camp ever cuz its just so challenging while relax.

totally worth going again.

we did paint balling for the first day.

haha. my group won the first round but lost the second one.

but i was the last one to get shot for the second game.

and the trick that the other team won the second game was: HIDE BEHIND THE HOSTAGE!!

lol. but it was damn fun and it was like our first time playing so we were all damn nervious.

but i wanna do it again.

second day was jungle tracking.

we won the other group too!!

as in we reached the finishing point first.

we took the same routhe but started at diff starting pt.

the sliding down the sand slope was the best part and we worked well as a team.

happy happy happy.

we went raft building on the third day.

and we won the race AGAIN!!! yay!!

i got sin burnt after that.

but i think its from the swimming after the activity.

but anyway. i paddled with my legs after my arms got tired.

haha. guess i had the most fun sitting at the back of the raft!!

gala night was fun too.

anyway. totally went to the best CAMP.

its so totally a, well, fun camp!!

jitterbug JIVE

History Of Jive
Jive (or the correct term jitterbug jive) is named after a 30's Mickey Mouse cartoon where Mickey and Minnie danced a country style jitterbug. The name came from Jitterbugs being the dancers and Jive meaning 'fake'. But, the dance steps are actually derived from country dancing. The turns and overhead moves are a direct descendant of some very old English country dances where couples cross over in a diagonal. Jive actually has nothing to do with the Lindy Hop, Charleston or any other body lead dance of the time, this is due to the dance being hand lead rather than body lead as in all the other swing dances of the 30's and 40's. Real 30's jive dancing features smooth, sliding footwork whereas later the footwork was not as smooth due to the dancers lifting their feet so as not to trip on rough floor boards or the local rough country entertainment establishments. American soldiers brought these dances to Europe around 1940, where they swiftly found a following among the young. After the war, the boogie became the dominant form for popular music. However, it was never far from criticism as a foreign, vulgar dance. The famous ballroom dancing guru, Alex Moore, said that he had "never seen anything uglier". English instructors developed the elegant and lively Jive, danced to slightly slower music. In 1968 it was adopted as the fifth Latin dance in International competitions.


well. just a random look up of the dance that we are currently learning now. and also to certified the name of jitterbug jive. got online now cuz i just wanna charge my mp3. lol. was suppose to pack my bag for monday's camp but ended up packing a little of my cupboard. but still did pack half of what i need. leaving the rest to 2moro. going out with karol and hui ting to shop shop and get some stuff that i need for the camp. like cup noodles... yum yum. haha. food is good. and i can get my sandals from NUM already!! haha. happy happy happy... going to sleep now. nite nite (:

Jive v.s Salsa

random. cat dog trying to dance cha cha cha. lol

had salsa 2nd and final basic lesson today(friday).
it was fun but it gets a little boring when we keep repeating the same thing.
feel that we could have gone a little faster and less doing the same thing over and over again.
danced with my blister which i burst it so that it can hopefully heal faster that i got from the 2h jive lesson ytd(thursday). haha.
jive is so bouncy and fun. totally felt like we ran 2.4km just by doing the basic 1 , 2 - 3 a 4 - 3 a 4 for 1min 40sec.
haha. lose weight!!! yeah!

went to watch Babylon a.d. don't really understand the whole storyline, especially the ending part, thou it was quite interesting. overall rating: *****

going for camp next monday to thursday!!
cant wait. haven been to leadership camp for quite some time.
went for briefing this morning and then we went shopping.
walked the whole day and did not buy a single thing.
wanted to get the NUM sandals.
but its like $40 even after the 20% discount for SP students.
and now i think i'm not allow to buy it cuz its too ex to bring for camp.
hump!!
well. need to think of some idea to be allow to buy the sandals of get smt else ):
and need to get all the camp stuff asap.

having dance sport lesson 2moro.
cant wait!!! we are learning JIVE!!!
hahahahahaa. so excited can.
and got salsa SPDP on friday.

well. now we have the benefit of reading the first 12 chapters of midnight sun online but the book will be release at a much much later date, or never release at all. which is totally disastrous! now all twilight fan have to wait even longer for the FULL VERSION OF MIDNIGHT SUN (Edward version of Twilight). who the hack did such a stupid thing as to violate the copyright thingy by having Midnight Sun illegally posted on the Internet. IT'S FREAKING IRRITATING!!!
